sensilla
Sensilla draws its inspiration from the delicate, often invisible wonders of nature.
In entomology, sensilla are minute sensory organs on insects and other arthropods, attuned to their environment with incredible sensitivity. These tiny, intricate structures symbolize the profound yet unseen connections that all creatures share in the web of life.
Through movement, this short piece invites us to reflect on the hidden beauty of the smallest beings, reminding us that even the most microscopic lives play vital roles in the balance of nature. By exploring the subtle, intuitive responses of insects to touch, sound, and the world around them, Sensilla becomes a meditation on humility. It asks us to scale back our human arrogance, to recognize the wisdom and complexity in all living things, and to reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world.
